  Inexpensive improvement of data reception for mobile hotspots in the 4G network.

  I bought the Netgear MIMO antenna for Aircard 4G modems to improve the WLAN coverage of a basement craft room in our apartment building. The Huawei E5372 4G mobile hotspot, which I had already operated with a Swisscom Mobile prepaid card (easy smart), brought - depending on the location in the area of the skylight shaft placed - only a scarce 3G network. With the MIMO antenna taped to the same location, reception improved to 4G with two to three notches on the Huawei hotspot's five-level reception strength scale. Thus, the goal of a sufficiently fast data reception for surfing via WLAN was fully achieved. Visually, the antenna, which comes in black plastic, has an appealing design. For me, a white model would have been better, because the antenna could have been hidden more inconspicuously. The somewhat short antenna cables also make it necessary to operate the mobile hotspot within arm's length of the antenna and easily accessible.

  Works - but little increase in performance

  works as described - but with the external antenna I could not achieve the desired significant gain so far
