I've been building PCs for over 20 years, and have installed many fans from all kinds of brands like Corsair, Cooler Master, bequiet, Scythe, Noctua, Deepcool and also Alpenföhn (I've been a "fan" since North Face and especially since Himalaya). But this part puts everything in the shade, Alpenföhn has managed to make a cooler that, although it's huge and cools extremely well, fits on pretty much all mainboards without overshadowing the RAM bank.
However, there are mainboards where either the socket is positioned very low and/or the first slot is the x16 CPU slot (most, including many mATX, have an x1 as the first slot) - on these mainboards you may not have enough space, and only coolers with a maximum 12cm fan will fit.
It sounds a bit unbelievable, but I have this giant cooler (the White Edition) mounted on a mini-ITX ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe, in a Fractal Node 304 case. The second fan was mounted outside with anti-vibration mounts, couldn't possibly fit inside. I tried to fit several coolers, including much smaller ones, into this combo, but none of them managed to touch either RAM slots or VRM bars (yes, the P8Z77-I has a plug-in VRM) or anything else.
Absolutely recommended purchase, regardless of whether it's the standard or black/white version.

Good cooling performance, hardly audible under heavy load.

Ryzen 5 2600x overclocked to 4ghz always stays below 65 degrees (in case with very good airflow).
