The whole 526 assortment has a miserable life span, I am constantly changing cartridges. I opened one once and found the following:
- The cartridge has a black casing, not a transparent one like before. So you can no longer see the contents of the ink tank.
- That's understandable, because there is no longer an ink tank. The entire container is filled with foam so that there is as little ink as possible.
- The result is that a 526 cartridge lasts an estimated 15% longer than the transparent CLY-8 cartridges of my previous IP4200.
This is perfect consumer fraud, for me:
NEVER AGAIN CANON PRINTERS.
I will be replacing my MG6250 soon.
