I strongly advise everyone not to buy it!

Unfortunately, the headphones are unusable. The Bluetooth connection constantly falters. You can't have the mobile phone in your pocket, otherwise nothing works. But even if you hold the phone in front of your head, the connection is not stable.

For the price, it's a disgrace. The product is in fact not functional.

    Definitely not to buy!
Too bad, the idea would actually be great.

Great wearing comfort, sound could be better. Replacing updates

As a spectacle wearer, I have been searching for years if not decades for decent headphones for on-the-road. My ears are not suitable for so-called "in-ear" headphones, I simply lose them. Big "over-ear" headphones are out of the question because my glasses push the wearing comfort beyond tolerable after a few minutes. So I was excited to find a truly wireless in-ear headphone that provides enough "grip" so I don't lose them. The Bragi The Dash does this brilliantly!
The operation with "tapping", "stroking", three times "tapping", right or left, takes some getting used to but who complains with a device that otherwise has no switches or anything and is worn wirelessly IN THE EAR! Nyota Uhura would be jealous!
And now the most important thing: sound quality. The Dash allows you to upload music files via USB, but only MP3 up to 32kbps and MP4/AAC. Unfortunately no FLAC. Because I don't have ALAC files I can't test this. The sound is ...ehm, mediocre. What is missing is bass. There is probably no room in a device with the dimensions of an ear where a processor, various sensors (!) incl. GPS and above all space-consuming batteries have to be supplied. The fact that there is room for everything at all is a technical miracle. Let's wait for software updates. ... It would be nice to have a Surroundmatix that makes the listening comfort a little better.

Addendum. Had to send the whole thing back because it didn't work at all. A few years later I received the replacement. In the meantime, the software has not been updated in any meaningful way. Because the Bluetooth connection is so bad, you can only enjoy listening in local mode. Unfortunately, The Dash insists on the Bluetooth connection when the devices are plugged in and out. Must disconnect and select playlist again. Why can't the little thing remember where it was? That's why it's comfortable to wear ++++ Design ----

    Pro

    • Truly wireless on the move
    • Running time great, but always nice to supply in the magnetic charging station
    • Operation actually super solved, tap, 2 tap, 3 tap, swipe forwards/backwards, left/right
    • Tragcomfort
    • Head movements for answering or rejecting the phone
    • Relatively good shielding from ambient noise, but switchable (works mediocre)

    Contra

    • Music quality: no comparison to my B&W and AKG headphones.
    • MP3 (and M4m) only
    • No real new and meaningful development
    • Switching from Bluetooth to local operation (and that rather problematic

I probably wouldn't buy it again, but I'm looking forward to "The Headphones", which come as a slimmed-down version of The Dash and would probably have been enough for me.

Nice device, but unfortunately I have to try for 10-20 minutes until I can pair my iPhone with the Dash. The device is often not found even though it is less than 30 cm away. Despite successful pairing, some apps do not always connect afterwards (Runtastic), which is extremely tedious. Operation during sports is intuitive and has improved massively since the last firmware update (before, it was almost impossible to hit the exact movement during a race, e.g. to fast-forward a song).
Wearing comfort in the ears is excellent, even on longer flights (6-8 hours) as passive noise cancelling, which suited me well - I usually have some trouble finding suitable earplugs for headphones.

Sound quality is excellent, and since the last firmware update it's finally a bit louder. Before, the volume was far too low - it could still be a bit higher now. What I miss is different volume control per side.

The 'battery indicator' is not very accurate. Although the Dash lights up blue before use (which is defined as "fully charged"), it often shows green after a few minutes and red after only 40-50 minutes, meaning the bottle is empty.

Recently I've had three unexpected crashes during running sessions, but I don't know if it's to do with the cold or what else.

In terms of functions, design and sound quality, it's a brilliant product. But would I buy it again? The connection problems are a real pain, especially when you want to go out for sports right away and it doesn't work again... If I had known this from the beginning, I would have waited for "The Headphones" and not bought the Dash.
