The cable supplied only worked if you didn't plug it in all the way and turned it to a certain position. As I needed the cable on the PC, this was less of a problem as frequent movements of the head were not necessary. I am still glad that I was able to switch to another cable without these faults.

Average assembly quality, the shiny plastic part comes off the side of the right end cap.
