I got the device from the ASUS eShop. After about 2 weeks of use, I am really convinced of the ZenFone 6. No notch and no punch hole design is always very nice. They dared to do something with the flip camera which works really well, with great additional functions (panoramas are now really fun with it). Motion control with the volume rocker and you have the quality of the main camera even with selfies.
The camera is very good (wide-angle, portrait, 4K stabilisation, all at a high level). Especially with selfies, it beats ALL other smartphones in my opinion! The main camera is not quite at Huawei P30 Pro or Samsung/Pixel/Apple level (I think it's a bit better than the OnePlus 7 Pro) and at night it needs some improvements. In case of a fall, the camera retracts quickly for protection, great!
92% screen-to-body ratio! The display is very nice even though it is IPS. Colours look real on it and for the normal user, the FHD+ resolution is quite sufficient (brightness is just about right).
The Snapdragon 855 processor is fast and the ZenFone does not get hot even under load.
The battery is fantastic. I've never had a smartphone that lasts so long. It lasts at least 2 days and even 3.5 to 4 days with little use. Charging is only possible via cable, but with the right accessories it can be recharged relatively quickly (0 - 100% in about 2.5 hours).
The software is finally nice at ASUS. They did everything right with stock Android and ZenUI.
Processing feels good. Buttons are super accessible and the smartphone also withstands drops well, like any other flagship. The fingerprint sensor is very fast and reliable. 190 grams is not really heavy either. I really like holding the ZenFone in my hand. The back is not made of glass, so it doesn't feel quite as premium, but it's still perfectly fine.
Oh, and it has a headphone jack, great!
Otherwise, the speakers are very good and individually adjustable. But when you're on the phone, you have to listen very carefully to what's coming out of the upper speaker. This is much quieter than the lower one...a pity (with headphones the sound quality is standard again). Memory can be expanded up to 2TB (what for?) + Dual SIM possible!
Disadvantages are the lack of water resistance (although it can easily withstand a short splash in the water), no wireless charging, LCD display and the FlipCam makes noise but is sturdily built in.
Conclusion: For a price starting at 500 francs, it's a really great device that has a lot to offer. ASUS dared to do something with the FlipCam and, in my opinion, did it right. Improve the small details and the next ZenFone will make the other manufacturers look old in many ways.

Really a great device, these features that the Zenfone 6 offers should all be included in a real flagship!
ASUS really succeeds in almost everything here! Really great class and worth every franc for this price anyway.
