The notebook meets my expectations exactly and had a good price/performance ratio.

A few months ago I bought 2x Acer Aspire 717... the processor is really fast and good, BUT I am bothered by an annoying chirping noise - this can only be heard at low processor load and only at mains power. As soon as the plug is pulled out, it is completely gone (so it would also work without!) - I suspect an electric coil that is not encapsulated - this starts to vibrate/chirp depending on the power consumption. I've had both laptops in for Acer service, but despite replacing the mainboard, it only got slightly better. If you are sensitive to noise and have to concentrate in a quiet environment, I find this annoying and very disturbing - but you don't hear it in ambient noise.
In addition, I have a blue screen irregularly, but about once a week - I can't say whether this is due to Win10 or a programme or hardware - as usual, Microsoft only gives lousy error messages. My HP Win7 laptop ran for years without crashing! That is also very annoying. Maybe one could find out the cause by "trying", but I don't have the time or the nerve. It's a pity about good hardware.
For me, the laptop usually runs on mains power, so the relatively short battery life doesn't bother me - the stated 6h would be good and as expected nowadays, but I'm nowhere near achieving it.
