From today, 13 October 2020, the Oculus Quest 2 is now available. Introduced in September, the VR glasses are lighter, faster and offer a more fluid image. Until just before Christmas, we are giving away three of the glasses with 64 GB memory.

Read on to find out what exactly has been improved in the new headset in terms of technology. The new headset is available in two versions: with 64 GB or 256 GB integrated memory. You need a Facebook account to set up your Quest.

- The Snapdragon XR2 processor provides more speed, true to the motto: every move you make counts – in real time
- LC-Display offers approx. 50% more pixels than the OLED display of the predecessor headset
- 6 GB instead of 4 GB RAM
- The refresh rate has been increased from 72 Hz to 90 Hz for a smoother image
- New touch controllers offer even better ergonomics and lower energy consumption
- Cinematic 3D positional audio
Weighs 503 g – that’s 70 g less than the predecessor

- All-in-one VR glasses – no PC, console or cables necessary: open the package, set up the app on your smartphone and off you go

- The Quest 2 is backwards compatible, i.e. you can play all games that run on the Quest
- Facebook has also announced the following new titles: Myst, Jurassic World Aftermath, Warhammer 40,000 Battle Sister, Pistol Whip: 2089, The Climb 2 and Rez Infinite
