With Nintendo's Pokémon Crimson and Pokémon Purple, the Pokémon series undergoes a major evolution. Together with friends, you set off on adventures and journeys, explore a boundless open-world and learn about, collect and battle with lots of new Pokémon.

Paldea Region and Academy

The vast landscape of Paldea is characterised by vast plains, sparkling lakes, high peaks, barren plains and dangerous mountain worlds.

You can move around freely and jump between the three stories. You decide for yourself in which order you want to defeat the eight arena ladders that are scattered throughout the region.

The renowned academy is located in the middle of the Paldea region. There, as a student, you will learn all about Pokémon and be introduced to the study project called "Treasure Hunt".

Trainer and friends

You are accompanied by your friends Nemila and Cosima, among others. The latter is a shy classmate, while the energetic Nemila is also an experienced Pokémon trainer who can give you advice and support.

Clavel, the academy's strict headmaster, as well as your class teacher Señor Jim, will teach you everything you need to know about the world of Pokémon.

New Pokémon

You'll meet the whimsical flora cat Pokémon Felori, meet the ravenous and jovial Krokel, and be joined by Kwaks, the orderly young duck Pokémon.

The Paldea region is home to many more new Pokémon that you'll find.

Teracrystallisation

The phenomenon of teracrystallisation makes Pokémon shine and glitter like gems. If you teracrystallise a Pokémon at the right time, you activate its tera type, which increases the power of attacks of the same type as your Pokémon's tera type and transforms its weaknesses.

New modes of transportation

. The Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon have the ability to change shape and adapt to the environment, making them suitable vehicles for you to ride around the Paldea region.
