From co-working to desk sharing to working from home – mobility and flexibility is becoming increasingly important in the working environment. On-the-go productivity requires an elaborate hard and software solution. Hewlett-Packard has come up with just that – the Duo Elite x3 and Desk Dock.
A seamless phablet-to-desktop experience
This professional duo was developed for business professionals who require a simple and seamless transition between a phablet and a desktop PC without having to switch between the devices. The bundle includes headphones (1M301).
Elite x3 Inkl. HP Desk Dock & 1MORE 1M301 Headset (5.96", 64GB, Dual SIM, 16MP, Black)
HP Elite x3-Phablet, Desk Dock und Headset sind für Vorbesteller in diesem Bundle zum Vorteilspreis erhältlich.
How does the latest HP business solution work?
The principle is simple: The 6" HP Elite x3 phablet is placed in the compact desk docking station and the latter is connected to your peripherals. The Desk Dock also offers a DisplayPort connection for external monitors as well as two USB-A, one USB-C and a LAN port. Thanks to a security lock (sold separately), the dock can also be secured to another device, desk or table.
The Elite x3 even fits into the dock with a protective cover. Together with HP Workspace, this duo gives you fast and safe access to business applications. In late September, a so-called lap dock will be introduced, which should make a notebook superfluous (price and availability tba).
The docked HP Elite x3 allows you to make calls while simultaneously working in the HP Workspace on an externally connected monitor.
More performance & battery power compared to previous solutions
The new HP mobile desk dock solution is reminiscent of the Microsoft Lumia 950, which was introduced in October 2015. However, in direct comparison, the HP Elite x3 delivers a lot more performance thanks to its Snapdragon 820 (2.15 GHz) processor and 4GB RAM. What’s more, the 4150mAh battery has a longer life and features faster, wireless or cabled (via Desk Dock) charging thanks to Qualcomm Quick-Charge 3.0. The only drawback compared to the Lumia is the display resolution. With the LapDock that’s out in late September, HP is bringing a comprehensive solution to the market – a seamless phablet-notebook-desktop experience.
