From 22 to 26 August, Cologne is hosting Gamescom, the leading European trade fair for digital gaming culture. As in 2016, we have sent a few digitec employees to Cologne again this year: Philipp Rüegg from our editorial team, Sandro Hostettler and Thierry Pool from our marketing team and Quentin Aellen, Christian Seeholzer and Roy Sonderegger from our product management department.
On this page, we’ll regularly add new articles and keep you up-to-date on what’s going on at Gamescom.
We arrived in Cologne and had a bit of time to visit the trade fair in the morning. Right now, we’re rushing from one trade stall to the other, trying to bag as much merchandise as possible for you (see «Send us your highlight» below) and bring publishers out of their shell.
Catch an initial glimpse of Gamescom in our Instagram story: digitec on Instagram. Don’t forget to follow us :)
Our first posts from Cologne:
Even though the halls only opened at 9:00 (in theory), we managed to sneak in shortly before that time. We had no other choice; our first meeting started at 9:00. We’ll keep you updated on how it went and what else we experienced. Stay tuned!
Here’s to all digitec users who are travelling to the trade fair: Take an on-site selfie and send it to us with a mention of your Gamescom highlight. Get in touch with us via Facebook, write a comment below this article or send an email to email@example.com. We’ll do our best to bag as much merchandise as possible at the trade fair and will raffle it off amongst everyone who sent us their selfie and highlight.
